Our Pillars

Brotherhood

Kappa Omega Alpha values forming meaningful connections and friendships. As a fraternity, we participate in various bonding events, including holiday parties, semi-formals, tailgates, intramural sports teams, visiting cider mills, going out to dinner with brothers, and so much more.

Community Engagement

Kappa Omega Alpha greatly values giving back to the campus and surrounding communities. Accordingly, we participate in various community engagement activities each semester, such as volunteering with the Ronald McDonald House, Neighbors Building Brightmoor, and Food Gatherers, amongst several others.

Professionalism

Professionalism is a significant part of Kappa Omega Alpha. Our members find professional enrichment through resume and LinkedIn workshops, law school admissions panels, and guest speakers, including lawyers, judges, and local politicians, in addition to countless further opportunities.

The Preamble

The purpose of this Fraternity shall be to acknowledge undergraduates in pursuing their interests in the fields of law, public policy, and criminal justice on both a social and professional scale; to uphold the strength of fraternalism; to strengthen the ideals of Kappa Omega Alpha Co-Ed Fraternity; to participate actively in the community and campus; and to ensure that each member develops their sense of understanding while bestowing ideals actively to the advancement of others.

Respect

Relationships rely on mutual respect. Kappa Omega Alpha strives to develop leaders who can build inclusive environments, attentively listen, and actively invest in difficult relationships. We hope our brothers have enough respect for themselves and their peers to have patience and grow from experience.

Integrity

We strive to be honest, authentic, and fair in our personal and professional lives. It is essential to prioritize truth, to oneself and to one's core principles, and to have the humility to know when to evolve.

Initiative

Our brotherhood seeks to be curious enough to ask critical questions, passionate enough to follow an inclination, and driven enough to complete their goals. Our members hope to not only recognize patterns, think independently, and articulate solutions but to take action with conviction and strength.
