WHO WE ARE

In the Community and On Campus

The Preamble

Professional Trip to Chicago

The purpose of this Fraternity shall be to acknowledge undergraduates in pursuing their interests in the fields of law, public policy, and criminal justice on both a social and professional scale; to uphold the strength of fraternalism; to strengthen the ideals of Kappa Omega Alpha Co-Ed Fraternity; to participate actively in the community and campus; and to ensure that each member develops their sense of understanding while bestowing ideals actively to the advancement of others.

Our Values

Respect

Strong relationships are built on mutual respect. Kappa Omega Alpha encourages leaders to foster inclusive communities, listen with intention, and invest in meaningful connections, even when they are challenging. We strive for our brothers to respect both themselves and others through patience, understanding, and a willingness to grow from experience.

Integrity

We are committed to honesty, authenticity, and fairness in both our personal and professional lives. Integrity means remaining true to one’s values and principles while also having the humility to reflect, adapt, and grow when necessary.

Initiative

Our brotherhood values curiosity, ambition, and action. We encourage members to ask thoughtful questions, pursue their passions, think independently, and develop solutions with confidence. Beyond recognizing opportunities, we strive to take meaningful action with purpose and determination.

Brotherhood

Kappa Omega Alpha is built on genuine friendships, unforgettable experiences, and a strong sense of community. From tailgates and semi-formals to dinners with brothers, intramural sports, study sessions, and bonfire hangouts, our fraternity creates opportunities to make lasting memories, support one another, and fully enjoy college life together.

Professionalism

Professionalism is a core value of Kappa Omega Alpha. Our members grow through professional treks to cities like Chicago and Washington, D.C., resume and LinkedIn workshops, law school panels, and guest speakers including lawyers, judges, and local politicians. Through professional pods and a strong brother network, members also receive support with classes, internships, jobs, resumes, applications, and other career development needs, helping them build skills and prepare for future success.

Community Engagement

Kappa Omega Alpha is deeply committed to giving back to both our campus and the surrounding communities. Each semester, we participate in service initiatives such as volunteering with Ronald McDonald House, Neighbors Building Brightmoor, Cards for Kindness, Food Gatherers, and more, while also hosting philanthropy events that support causes meaningful to our organization.
